Robert Orcutt’s thoughts on...

 

HIS SUCCESS:  “I feel that my success in business or racing, as well as in life came directly from what I’ve been taught by my parents.  My parents always supported my dreams and encouraged thinking BIG.  Probably what has gotten me this far is my attention to details. I just do my best as often as possible.”

 

HIS FAMILY:  “My mom and my family members are clearly my best friends. We’re close, and they always seem to know what’s going through my mind at any given moment.  My dad died in 1988 of Leukemia.  He would be very proud of what I have been able to accomplish so far in my years as a Pro race car driver.  I wish he were still around to cheer me on.  My sisters have been very supportive of my desires to do well in Motorsports.  They enjoy coming to the races.  They think I’m a little outrageous.”

 

GOALS AND AMBITIONS:  “ ‘Always reach a little bit higher!’  I enjoy working with business partners and sponsors and would like to compete full time in the the American LeMans Series. I also plan on someday competing in the 24hrs of LeMans in France.  At times my desire to compete and succeed is so loud in my head that I can’t hear or think of any thing else.  Auto racing has been a dream of mine since my dad took me to Watkins Glen when I was just 4 years old.   Another goal of mine is to “give something back” by sharing with the challenged and handicapped.  I know from personal experience that physical challenges can change your whole life, but I also know that they don’t have to ruin it.  I think I have a lot to share.”
